Fostering a secure environment built on mutual respect, honesty and accountability for every Client and Worker across the Cape Town region.
Safety, Respect and Positivity
Our Community Guidelines help keep JobZapp safe and respectful for everyone. All workers and clients must follow these rules. Breaking them may lead to account suspension.
This includes criminal activity, sexual misconduct, or discrimination of any kind.
Treat Everyone With Respect
We aim to keep JobZapp positive, safe, and welcoming for everyone. Our standards cover respectful behaviour, safety, and protection against misconduct, abuse, discrimination, unwanted contact, and property damage.
Physical Contact
Please refrain from touching strangers or anyone you've just met through JobZapp. It's never acceptable to harm or intend harm to anyone.
Sexual Assault & Misconduct
Sexual assault and sexual misconduct of any kind are prohibited. Sexual assault and misconduct refer to sexual contact or behaviour without the explicit consent of the other person. Personal space and privacy should be respected. The following list provides examples of inappropriate conduct but does not feature every scenario:
- Behaviour and comments that could make people feel uncomfortable are not acceptable. Examples include nudges, whistles and winks.
- Do not touch or flirt with people you do not know.
- Certain conversations that you might think are harmless, could be offensive.
- Do not comment on people's appearance, perceived gender identity or sexual orientation.
- Refrain from asking unrelated personal questions, such as "Are you in a relationship?"
- Avoid discussing your own or someone else's sex life, using explicit language, or making jokes about sex.
JobZapp has a no-sex rule. Sexual conduct is prohibited while using the JobZapp app, including during a job.
Threatening & Rude Behaviour
Aggressive, confrontational, or harassing behaviour is not allowed. Do not use language or make gestures that could be disrespectful, threatening or inappropriate. It is a good idea to avoid personal topics that can be divisive, like religion and political beliefs. Keep conversations casual and friendly with Workers. Do not ask personal questions or act aggressively towards others.
Unwanted Contact
Contact should end when the job is complete unless it's to return a lost item or with mutual consent. For example, texting, calling, social media contact, or trying to visit someone in person after the job has been completed, is not allowed. You should immediately alert JobZapp if a user contacts you without mutual consent for any reason other than your current booking/job or to return a lost item.
Discrimination
You should always feel safe and welcome. That's why we do not tolerate conduct we have determined to be discriminatory. Do not discriminate against someone based on age, colour, disability, gender identity, marital or civil partnership status, national origin, race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, or any other characteristic protected under relevant law. It is also unacceptable to rate another user based on these traits. Please report the incident if you believe another user has discriminated against you based on your legally protected traits.
Property Damage
Damaging property is never allowed. Some examples include damaging or tampering with the house, where a job has been requested through JobZapp, breaking or vandalising a phone or tablet, intentionally spilling food or drink, smoking on private property, etc. If you damage property, you are responsible for the cost of cleaning and repair fees outside of normal wear and tear.
Help Keep One Another Safe
Everyone plays a crucial role in fostering a safe environment. That's why we've established guidelines regarding account sharing, the age of account holders, and more.
Account Sharing
Account sharing undermines the security and integrity of our platform. To use JobZapp, each user must register and maintain their own active account. Sharing login credentials compromises the confidentiality of personal information and may lead to unauthorized access. However, it's acceptable to request a job for someone else who meets our age requirements, as long as the requester maintains sole control of their account.
People Under the Age of 18
You must be 18 years or older to have a JobZapp account. Account holders cannot request a job done for someone under 18 who an adult will not accompany during the job.
If you are a Worker and notice that the booker at your job looks under 18, you can decline the job and report it to JobZapp. Note that refusing or cancelling jobs on this basis will not impact your Worker rating. It is also a good idea to let the person know why you can't accept the job, so they're not left wondering what happened.
Other People
The Client making the booking assumes responsibility for the conduct of any other individuals who may be present.
User Information
For ease, JobZapp provides users with identifying information about Workers and Clients, including their profile pictures and name.
Recording Devices
Anyone using JobZapp may record all or part of a job to the extent permitted by applicable laws, including documenting an issue they wish to report to JobZapp or relevant authorities. Applicable laws or regulations may require any individual using recording equipment to notify and obtain the consent of anyone being recorded. Please check applicable laws and regulations to determine if these apply. Broadcasting a person's image, audio or video recording is not allowed.
Maintenance and Upkeep
Workers are expected to maintain their required tools in good operating conditions. This means maintaining your tools according to industry safety and maintenance standards.
Follow the Law
Creating a safe environment is a shared responsibility. Any use of JobZapp to commit or attempt any criminal activity or violate any law or regulation is strictly prohibited.
Follow the Law
It's your responsibility to be aware of and adhere to all relevant laws and regulations while using JobZapp. Workers must possess all necessary licenses, permits, and up-to-date legal documents as required by law.
Drugs and Alcohol
Workers and those booking jobs should not be under the influence of drugs or alcohol when using JobZapp. If you have reason to believe your Worker or the person who booked your job may be under the influence of drugs or alcohol, you may end the job immediately and report your experience to JobZapp.
Firearms
JobZapp users are prohibited from carrying firearms of any kind while using JobZapp, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Fraud
Deception can weaken trust and also be dangerous. Intentionally falsifying information or assuming someone else's identity (or allowing someone else to assume your identity), for example, when signing in or undergoing a security check, is not permitted. Provide accurate information when reporting incidents, creating and assessing your JobZapp account or disputing charges or fees. Only request fees, charges or credits you are entitled to, and use offers and promos only as intended. Do not knowingly complete invalid transactions.
You Have the Power
Positive interactions are at the core of our community values here at JobZapp. We appreciate your commitment to fostering a safe and inclusive environment. Thank you for being a part of our community!
How to Find Help
If you need to report an incident, please reach out to us through the app. If you're in immediate danger, please contact your local authorities first and then notify us. Your safety is our top priority.
How Ratings Work
A high rating tells you that you're doing great. If your rating is significantly below average, you could temporarily or permanently lose access to JobZapp. If you do lose access, we may share information that may help you improve your rating.
How Our Guidelines Apply to You
We carefully scrutinize all reports submitted to our team that may violate our Community Guidelines, and we may conduct further investigations. Your account might be temporarily suspended while we carry out a comprehensive review. Failure to adhere to any of our guidelines may result in the termination of your access to the JobZapp account. This includes actions taken outside of the app, especially if we find that such actions pose a threat to the safety of the JobZapp community or have a negative impact on JobZapp's brand, reputation, or business.
Your Feedback Matters
Your feedback matters to us, whether it's positive or negative. We're constantly refining our standards, and your input is crucial in this process. Please don't hesitate to share your experiences with us.
